Gavin Bradley

The Nueva School
Director of College Counseling
The child and grandchild of teachers, Gavin Bradley joins Nueva as he begins his twenty-third year as an educator. His path to education was anything but direct — he spent time in the Marine Corps, as a professional rugby player, a logistics analyst, and working for the Atlanta Olympics.  He holds an AB in political science from the University of Chicago and an MA and MEd from Teachers College, Columbia University.  While at Columbia he served as a senior assistant director of undergraduate admission and financial aid.  He then moved to Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he was a college counselor and football coach. Most recently, he completed a ten-year tenure as the director of college counseling at Pace Academy in Atlanta, GA, where he also taught ancient world history and coached football. He recently survived his oldest child’s college admission process and looks forward to sharing the insights gained from that experience, as well nearly twenty years in the college admission profession. Gavin enjoys writing and has plans to learn to play the ukulele he got for Christmas.
