Alexa Hart currently teaches upper school English at Nueva. Her classroom experience ranges from teaching third grade in Peru to teaching at a large, public high school in rural Vermont to working at an independent Jewish school in Vancouver, BC. Most recently, before she came to Nueva five years ago, she taught English composition and worked as a writing tutor at the college level in Boulder, Colorado. Alexa has a BA from Bennington College with a double concentration in English and political science as well as an MA in teaching from Bennington. She is currently pursuing her MA in literature from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College. When not teaching, she enjoys reading, hiking, playing with her dog, and watching her son Alistair and her daughter Eloise explore and learn.
