Schedules created here on Sched do not guarantee reserved seats in sessions. The schedules created here are an indication of interest in sessions only and are intended for your use in navigating the conference. You will not be sent a schedule confirmation. You may attend any sessions in which you are interested, regardless of whether or not you signed up for them. All sessions will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so please plan to arrive early to your preferred sessions and have backup sessions in mind, just in case a session is full.

Wednesday

Wednesday’s sessions take place at Hillcrest Elementary School in San Francisco. Registration will open at 7:15; the program will start at 8:00; the day will end at 2:30.

Thursday

Thursday’s sessions take place at both Nueva School’s Hillsborough (for grades PreK-6 educators) and San Mateo (for grades 7-12 educators) campuses. Registration will open at 8:30; the program will start at 9:00; the day will end at 3:45.

Friday

Friday’s sessions will take place at Nueva School’s San Mateo campus. Registration will open at 8:00; the first session will start at 8:30; the day will end at 4:00.

Nueva School, San Mateo Campus (THURSDAY & FRIDAY)

Parking

Parking is available at the San Mateo Campus. Parking passes will be emailed to all registered attendees the week of the conference.  


CalTrain

The closest CalTrain station to the San Mateo Campus is the Hillsdale Station. It is an easy 0.5 mile walk to the San Mateo campus. Free shuttles will also be available from the CalTrain station to the conference. The CalTrain schedule can be found here.


Nueva School, Hillsborough Campus (THURSDAY ONLY)

Parking

Parking is available at the Hillsborough Campus. Parking passes will be emailed to all registered attendees the week of the conference.  


Shuttles from Hotel

If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco Airport/ Burlingame, Nueva will provide shuttle service to and from the hotel and Nueva’s Bay Meadows campus on Friday.

The Nueva campus is equipped with wireless access to the web. Attendees may connect to our network.

Food

Conference registration includes a continental breakfast and lunch. There will be gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options available. 


The Nueva School has a strict no nuts policy to protect the health and well-being of several students with severe nut allergies. Please help us keep our students safe by not bringing any snacks that contain nuts. 

 

Handicap Accessibility

Both Nueva campuses and the Hillcrest campus are handicap accessible. 


Nursing Rooms

All campuses have rooms for nursing mothers.

Cancellation Policy 

Cancellations may be made by emailing ilc@nuevaschool.org.

  • Cancellations by September 1, 2019 to receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations by October 10, 2019 to receive the amount paid, less $50.

  • Cancellations after October 10, will not be refunded.



Professional Development Funds

Thanks to the generosity of donors, The Nueva School has professional development funds available to support educators who would like to attend the ILC.

Full and partial grant applications will be considered on a rolling basis. Because grant funds are limited, preference will be given to educators from neighboring public school districts that either qualify for Title I funding or have a significant free and reduced lunch student population.

As of September 23rd, our Thursday portion of the conference is SOLD OUT. Please use the wait list option to be informed if more Thursday tickets become available.

Continuing Education Units

CEUs for the conference are available from St. Mary's College of California for $25 per .5 unit (5 hours of attendance), up to 1.5 units (for those attending both full days of the conference). Paperwork will be provided at registration check-in.

Educator Group Registrations

A 10% discount is available to groups of six (6) or more educators attending the Friday portion of the conference. For a group registration code, please reach out to ilc@nuevaschool.org.
